Fall Arrest and Train the Trainer for Detailed Inspection
The Safe Working at Heights & Fall Arrest Equipment Training programme is designed to ensure employers meet their obligations under the Working at Height Regulations 2007 and is independently approved by IOSH, CIF, CITB (NI) & IPAF.
 
Module 2 is a train the trainer programme for delivery of module 1 (User Training). Additionally the trainers are brought to a competent level to carry out detailed inspections of the fall arrest equipment. Both modules are designed to meet the requirements of EN365 and the HSE guidance document for the safe use of fall arrest equipment (2002 & 2006). The competent person will ensure that an inspection regime every 12 months is initiated and documented records are maintained.

Course Objectives

On completion of this programme participants will be able to:
  • List the regulations applicable to working at heights.
  • Teach others on fitting and wearing harness correctly.
  • Discuss steps to ensure the safe use of fall arrest protection equipment.
  • Discuss Working safely at heights equipment, care and maintenance of equipment.
  • Carry out documented and detailed inspections of the fall arrest equipment and maintain records.
  • Deliver Module 1.

Course Programme

EN 365 demands an inspection regime every 12 months.
  • Training users on fitting, use, attachment, inspection, care, maintenance
  • and storage of harnesses and fall arrest equipment
  • Pre and Post use checks
  • Carrying out detailed inspections and examinations of the fall arrest equipment.
  • Maintaining records
  • Inspection regime is kept on behalf of the company
  • Course Review and Close

Method of Training

The theoretical input and practical demonstrations on this course is presented in an interactive manner using discussion and group feedback. Practical exercises throughout the course reinforce the training.

Please Note

Mileage @ €0.50 per km and accommodation @ €100 per night is may be charged for courses.

English is the language in which training is delivered and participants must have a good command of the English language. If participants wish to bring an interpreter they may do so but prior notice must be given to Anderco.

Who Should Attend?

Anyone required to train others in the use of harnesses, discuss the safe use of fall arrest protection equipment and to carry out detailed inspections of the fall arrest equipment.

Pre Course Requirements

• Organisations must provide their own equipment. (Tested and certified)
• Anderco may be able to supply equipment at an additional charge.

Assessment / Certification

Certificate of Completion/ Attendance.
