This one-day course is designed to provide Managers and Supervisors with an overview of Health and Safety obligations and responsibilities for the organization. The course deals with a wide range of pertinent areas of interest to those responsible for driving the Health and Safety Programme in the Organization including Health and Safety Legislation, Risk Assessment, Safety Management Systems, Active & Reactive Monitoring. The aim of the course is to develop an awareness and increase their knowledge, attitudes and skills of the participants so that they can effectively manage safely back in the workplace and they are well aware of their responsibilities.

  • Explain the components of a health and safety management system and their interrelationship
  • Identify initiatives to promote Health & Safety in the workplace
  • Describe the role of risk management in safety management and accident prevention
  • Outline and apply the Key Components of a Safe System of work
  • State the reasons for undertaking active and reactive monitoring
  • Describe the components of effective accident investigation
  • Identify and discuss current issues in health and safety in their organisation

Mileage @ €0.50 per km and accommodation @ €100 per night may be charged for courses.

English is the language in which training is delivered and participants must have a good command of the English language. If participants wish to bring an interpreter they may do so but prior notice must be given to Anderco.

Who Should Attend?

This course is suitable for Managers/Supervisors with responsibility for Health and Safety but is also ideal for those new to Health and Safety.
